I Like Goooold!

Through recent observations, I’ve come to the conclusion that Piggle is on a mission. His goal, it would seem, is to become the first person to discover buried treasure—in his nose.

While I have been known to indulge in some nose-picking of my own, I have never seen anyone dig in their nostrils with such conviction. He must truly believe there is something up there worth finding because I never see his index finger anymore.

I’ve tried to break the habit; not because it’s disgusting, but because he thinks it’s great to finish a round of mining and chase me with his dirty little booger-finger—well, he’s probably just looking for a hug, but all I see is the threat of getting slimed by my 17 month old.

Ah, how the joys of motherhood keep manifesting themselves in such peculiar, mucous-y ways…

  1. You have this issue too?! I thought it was only my tyranusaurus toddler that indulged in this behavior. She thinks it’s pretty great too and any redirection makes her do it more because she now thinks it’s hilarious. I the joys of parenting a toddler.

  2. Oh the joys of having a toddler. We, too, have this problem at times and I have learned to just tell her not to do it when I see it, but seriously have learned to pick my battles. Sometimes it is so not worth having them scream over nothing!!
